Our Story
Sonetarc Foundation is a full community-impact foundation supported by Sonetarc Africa Ltd’s technology, research, engineering, and data capabilities. We apply those strengths to programs that improve water access, food systems, climate resilience, health equity, gender inclusion, and evidence-led decision-making.
We were established to do development differently. Rather than working as a traditional aid organisation, we combine advanced tools — UAV mapping, GIS, remote sensing and data dashboards — with deep community participation, so that interventions are designed on evidence and owned locally for the long term.
A tech-first foundation
We are not a traditional NGO that simply hands out aid. We are a technology-first foundation that uses advanced data, GIS and automation to make development sustainable, measurable and traceable — putting local communities at the centre of every program.
Our work is anchored in Kenya and built around community co-ownership, with a clear commitment to leaving no one behind — empowering women, youth and marginalised groups through technology, training and locally led delivery.
